Sabrina Lloyd (Debby) made a splash as the feisty associate producer “Natalie Hurley” in Aaron Sorkin’s critically acclaimed television series “Sports Night”. She also became a fan favorite playing “Wade Welles” in Fox’s cult-classic sci-fi series “Sliders”. Her other major television credits include NBC’s comedy-drama “Ed”, “Law & Order” and CBS’s Emmy-nominated crime-solving drama “Numb3rs”.
Sabrina also boasts credits in more than 15 feature films including starring roles in Sundance hits “Dopamine” in 2003 and Hal Hartley’s “The Girl From Monday” in 2005. She is described as one of the most talented under-the-radar actors of our time.
James Urbaniak (Gary) is best known to art house audiences for his work in Hal Hartley’s “Henry Fool” (1997) playing “Simon Grim”, a humble garbage man who turns out to be a Nobel Prize-winning literary genius. The film earned glowing reviews, including one from the New York Post, which described Urbaniak’s performance as “a revelation” and in which he was dubbed “the nerd Brando”. After this, Urbaniak became a Hartley regular, appearing the following year in “Book of Life” (1998), which premiered at the Cannes Festival, and later in “The Girl from Monday” (2005) and “Faye Grim” (2006).
Urbaniak was praised for his role as comic book artist Crumb alongside Paul Giamatti in the 2003 Oscar-nominated film “American Splendor”. Other film and television credits include, George Clooney’s “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”, Woody Allen’s “Sweet and Lowdown”, “The Office”, “Sex and the City”, “Weeds” and Julie Taymor’s “Across the Universe”. Urbaniak continues to receive much praise for his voice-over role as Dr. Venture in Adult Swim’s cult hit animated series “The Venture Brothers”.
James is a veteran of New York’s downtown theater scene. He co-founded the theater company Arden Party, which eventually became something of a downtown institution. His most recent theater credits include “The Rivals” on Broadway and off-Broadway hits, “The Universe” and “Thom Pain (based on nothing)”, for which Urbaniak received critical praise and a Best Actor Award for his starring role in the one man show.
James lives in Santa Monica, California with his wife and their three-year-old twins.
Lynn Cohen (Eleanor) is widely recognized for her role as the Ukrainian housekeeper “Magda” in the HBO series “Sex and the City”. She was featured in Steven Spielberg’s Oscar nominated “Munich” as Golda Meir. Other films credits include “Manhattan Murder Mystery”, “Deconstructing Harry”, “Vanya on 42nd Street”, “The Station Agent”, and “Synecdoche, New York”,
In addition to her successful film career, Lynn is a distinguished stage actor with credits including the Lincoln Center Theater production of “Ivanoff” with Kevin Klein, “Orpheus Descending”, “Hamlet” at the Public Theater and most recently, Tina Howe’s “Chasing Manet” for which she won a “Richard Seff” Award for her role as a spirited, ditzy but charming nursing home fugitive.
Harry Chase (Bill Soap): You hear his voice every day without ever realizing it, Harry Chase is most easily recognized as the voice of Captain Morgan’s Rum. Though this is his first ever on-screen role, he has over 30 years of experience in the world of voice acting. His work includes countless feature film trailers in addition to spots for Quiznos, Sony Vaio, Disney on Broadway, CNN, CBS, Lifetime, Sci-Fi and Nat Geo. Harry’s voice can also be heard in video games such as “Grand Theft Auto IV” and as “Gandolf” in “The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar”.
In 2008, Chase won a “Best Voice Over” Golden Trailer award for his work on the movie trailer for “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” starring Brad Pitt.
Kamel Boutros (Omar) played the super in Adam Reid’s award-winning short film, “While the Widow is Away”. Other acting credits include Mohammed Atta in “Hamburg Cell” directed by Antonia Bird, Mamoud in “The Death of Klinghoffer”, and in “City” for the Daniel Pearl Foundation.
In addition to acting, Boutros is a pianist, composer and a multiple-award-winning Opera Singer. He has performed with the Metropolitan Opera in Carmen, Capriccio, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Madame Butterfly, La Boheme and Roméo et Juliette, as well as in a gala concert with the late Luciano Pavarotti conducted by James Levine. His awards include first prize in the Opera Index’s Competition and the Sullivan Foundation Career Award.
Presently Kamel is the music director of Calvary Concert Series and Calvary Church in New York City. He continues his career in acting, singing, and as a pianist in chamber music concerts.
Nate Smith (Gordon) He has performed in dozens of shows with the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City. He is also a founding member of the independent improv and sketch group Rogue Elephant, which for the past five years has played in national comedy festivals, colleges around the country, the esteemed IO Theater in Chicago and every Friday night to packed crowds in the East Village in New York City.
Smith’s other credits include the Showtime series, “This American Life”, the online reality show, “Project Improviser” and a handful of national commercials. In addition to acting, Smith writes and directs comedy shorts for multiple comedy groups. He has also worked extensively in documentary films as an editor and producer.
